The Volunteer Department Officers include a Chief, Deputy Chief, Captain, Lieutenant, Secretary and Treasurer. The election of Officers is held every two years. The Chief answers directly to the Director of Public Safety for the Town of Wytheville.

The Fire Department meets the first Thursday of every month and hold a training session on the third Thursday of the month.

The Wytheville Fire Department is a combination department with a roster of 25 volunteers and 6 paid personnel.
